As proud partners of Paul Mitchell and Alfaparf Milano, we regularly train with both brands to bring our clients the latest colour innovation, expert techniques and trusted professional products, all within a welcoming and relaxed environment.
Our Story
When salon owner Vanessa Osment left London’s West End, she brought with her years of advanced training and technical expertise. But she also carried a simple belief: exceptional hairdressing is about more than great hair. It’s about making people feel comfortable, understood and valued.
HL2 began with one stylist and a clear vision. Since opening our Penenden Heath salon in 2017, we have grown into a trusted local destination with a talented team dedicated to delivering personal service and beautiful results.
Our Space
Designed to feel both stylish and welcoming, HL2 combines contemporary design with a relaxed atmosphere. Warm wood tones, soft lighting, crystal chandeliers and back-lit mirrors create a space where clients can unwind, recharge and enjoy a little time for themselves.

Salon Director
As the owner of HL2 Hairdressing, I bring over 30 years of experience and a passion for creating hair that is both beautiful and wearable.
My training began in London’s West End, and throughout my career I’ve specialised in precision cutting, advanced colouring, ladies styling and men’s hairdressing. I’ve also trained with some of the industry’s leading names, including Sassoon, Wella, TIGI and Alan International, continually refining my skills and keeping up with modern techniques and trends.
I believe great hair should enhance your natural features, suit your lifestyle and feel effortless to maintain. My goal is simple: to ensure every client leaves the salon feeling delighted with their hair and looking their very best.
Louise
Stylist
Louise has been part of the HL2 family since we opened our doors in 2017 and is loved by clients for her warm personality and approachable nature.
With a talent for classic cuts, beautiful blow-dries and effortlessly wearable styles, Louise enjoys helping clients find a look that suits both their lifestyle and individual personality. Her calm, friendly approach creates a relaxed salon experience, making every appointment feel comfortable and enjoyable.

Senior Stylist
With over 14 years of experience, Kim has built a strong reputation for creating beautiful, personalised colour work.
Specialising in creative colouring, highlights and balayage, she combines technical expertise with a keen eye for detail to create results that complement each client’s individual style and natural features.
Known for her calm and friendly nature, Kim creates a relaxed salon experience where clients feel comfortable and well looked after. Her passion for hairdressing shines through in every appointment, and she takes pride in helping clients achieve hair they love..
Leah
Apprentice Stylist
Leah joined the HL2 in 2023, starting as a Saturday assistant before progressing into her hairdressing apprenticeship. Since then, she has become a valued member of the salon, developing her skills and gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of hairdressing.
Leah is currently qualified in blow-drying, one-length haircuts and root colour services, and is continuing to build her expertise as she works towards completing her apprenticeship this September.
Known for her friendly personality and positive attitude, Leah loves meeting clients and helping them feel relaxed and welcome. She is passionate about learning, growing her skills and delivering a great salon experience for every guest she looks after.
Dawn
Creative Stylist
Dawn joined HL2 in 2018 and brings over 7 years of experience, along with her creativity and enthusiasm, to the team.
She loves helping clients find a style that feels fresh, modern and uniquely suited to them. Whether it’s a bold colour transformation or a subtle refresh, Dawn takes the time to understand what her clients are looking for and enjoys creating personalised results that help them look and feel their best.

Short – sits on the collar, just below the bottom of back hairline, at the nape of neck
Mid-Length – starts below the jawline extends to hair touching on the shoulder.
Long – sits below shoulder and down approx 5 inches.
