Overlooking the historical Penenden Heath, HL2 Hairdressing lies just a couple of minutes outside the busy Maidstone Town Centre. From the moment you walk through the door of HL2 Hairdressing, we aim to make you feel welcome and at ease, as we understand that trying out a new salon can be a nerve-racking experience for anyone. Our unique decor features urban industrial brushed steel, warm wood and a splash of decandence from the crystal chandelier and backlit mirrors - a cozy haven and creative hub where you can relax while we restyle you. We want you to love your hair as much as you love coming to our salon.

HL2 Hairdressing was first established in 2012 when Vanessa Osment, a West End trained stylist of over 30 years, opened the first Hair Lounge in Maidstone. Initially, Vanessa started out working alone and eventually was hiring more and more staff and now needed another base where the business could be expanded upon. The loyal customer base established at Hair Lounge over the 5 years would follow to Penenden Heath and provide the foundation for the successful opening of HL2 hairdressing in June 2017.

Vanessa - Salon Director

As a stylist of over 30 years I know having a burning passion for the craft is key to creating great results, an at HL2 Hairdressing, you will find all of our stylists love what they do!

Vanessa is a West End trained stylist with over 30 years hairdressing experience, highly qualified in all aspects of hairdressing. Specialist areas include: advanced technical colour work, precision cutting, gents hairdressing and ladies styling.

Training & Certificates: Member of the World Federation of Supreme Hairdressers, Wella Colouring Diploma, Sassoon Cutting Diploma, Alan International School of Hairdressing Haircutting, Styling and Perming Diploma, TiGi Creative Cutting and Colouring Certificate, TiGi Creative Consultation 2.0 Certificate, Eyebrow Definition Specialist.

Dawn - Stylist

As a recently qualified hair stylist, I have come to realise the importance of truly listening to my clients. I understand that I can help them achieve great hair goals, as well as help bring positivity to their inner self too.

Dawn is our hair designer and youngest member of the team. She has lots of energy and passion for the industry. She began her hairdressing career after leaving school at 16 and originally trained with Toni & Guy in Maidstone.Although she left her training unexpectedly early, and eventually completed her hairdressing qualification in 2016. Dawn is passionate, creative and enthusiastic about her future career in hairdressing.

She takes great pride in her work and admits to being “a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to hair” She enjoys all aspects of hairdressing and especially loves styling and taming long curly hair. Dawn is qualified in Ladies Cutting and Colouring, and is also able to provide Gents and Children’s Cutting and Styling, Blowdrying, Perming, Wedding Hair, Prom Hair and Avant Garde Styling. 

Training & Certificates: NVQ level 3 Hairdressing, certificate in Creative Hair Styling. TiGi Colour Trained Colourist.

Louise - Stylist

I love the interactions I have with the people in my chair. By making them feel amazing about their hair, I know that I’ve changed their day for the better, that I never take for granted, and is why I have loved being a stylist for over 3 years.

Louise trained and qualified at Saks Maidstone early 2017, she is a talented up and coming stylist who puts her heart and soul into every job she does and although she is one of our most recently qualified stylist, she is a real natural with hair.

Louise is a great stylist of ladies, gents and children's hair as well as ladies and gents hair colouring. Louise takes the time to make sure every job she does is done to her very best ability leaving you feeling pampered and at ease during your visit.

Training and Certificates; NVQ level 2 Hairdressing, TiGi Colour Trained Colourist, TiGi Balayage techniques training.
